Pharmacy of Grace Expansion Plans Featured in the Kansas City Business Journal

Kansas City, KS — Pharmacy of Grace’s plans to expand affordable medication access into Johnson County were recently featured in the Kansas City Business Journal as part of its Business Spotlight section.

The feature highlights our upcoming second full-service pharmacy location in Shawnee, Kansas, currently planned to open in spring 2026.

As outlined in the Business Spotlight, Pharmacy of Grace is expanding to meet a growing need in Johnson County. While Johnson County is often perceived as a prosperous area, many residents still face serious healthcare access challenges. Tens of thousands of individuals live at or near the poverty line, and more than 31,000 residents lack health insurance. The neighborhoods surrounding the future Shawnee pharmacy location include a high concentration of uninsured households and families managing chronic health conditions.

To support this growth, Pharmacy of Grace has launched the Expanding Medication Access for Healthier Lives Campaign, a capital campaign focused on funding the staffing, equipment, technology, medications, and supplies needed to open the Shawnee location and expand services across the region. The campaign is strengthened by a $65,000 matching challenge from the William G. McGowan Charitable Fund, doubling the impact of every contribution toward the expansion.

We appreciate the Kansas City Business Journal for helping share our expansion plans with the regional business community. Read more here:
